Rental prices increased by 1.7% in April.

Rental prices rose again in April, after two months of stability.

The data is from Idealista, shared by Notícias ao Minuto, indicating that the rent prices in Portugal increased by 1.7% compared to the previous month.

In the statement cited by the information website, it can be read that "According to the Idealista Price Index, renting a house cost 16.1 euros per square meter (euros/m2) at the end of April this year, taking into account the median value".

Prices "rose 1.7% in April compared to the previous month", thus noting "the first increase after 2 months where prices remained stable." In addition, compared " to the quarterly variation, the increase was 1.9% and the annual 16.4%", reads the news.

In April, it was only in one municipality that rental prices fell: In Castelo Branco, by about 2.5%.

The increase was most significant in Faro (8.3%), Évora (5.4%), Aveiro (5.3%), Setúbal (3.6%), Viseu (3.5%), Coimbra (2.9%), Funchal (2.6%), Porto (1.5%), Viana do Castelo (1.4%) and Braga (0.7%). But in Lisbon (0.4%) and Leiria (0.4%), prices remained stable from month to month.
