House rents dropped in five district capitals in February.
In February, the rent for a house was 15.8 euros per square meter (euros/m2) at the end of the month.
It was in five district capitals that the rent prices decreased, according to data from Idealista, shared by Notícias ao Minuto.
According to the idealist price index, renting a house had a cost of 15.8 euros per square meter (euros/m2) at the end of February this year, considering the median value. This is the second consecutive month in which the rental price remains unchanged,” the information website reported.
More specifically, prices for renting a house decreased in Faro (-5.5%), Funchal (-5.1%), Leiria (-2.8%), Évora (-1.4%), and Aveiro (-0.9%).
However, in three district capitals, rental prices increased, such as in Santarém by 2.3%, Setúbal by 1%, and Lisbon by 0.6%.
Regarding the districts in which prices remained stable, Coimbra had a variation of 0.4%, and Porto had a variation of 0.2%.
