Average house rents increase by 7.1% since May 2023.
Average rental prices, per square meter, increased by 7.1% in May compared to the same period in 2023. The value remained the same as the previous month, with all regions showing year-on-year growth.
The data comes from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), shared by Notícias ao Minuto, and reveal that in May "all regions showed positive year-on-year variations in housing rents, with Lisbon registering the most intense increase (7.4%)".
As for the monthly variation, the average value of housing rents per square meter recorded 0.4% - having been 0.6% in the previous month.
It is worth noting that all regions showed a positive monthly variation, identical to the national total, of 0.4%.
